Studio Tour-Culture Days-Art Classes

kids tour

Hive studio artists have been having a busy summer with a change of pace from our regular schedules;  taking vacations and doing summer projects.

At the end of July we hosted 40 children from the Brooks Leisure Centre. They enjoyed meeting the artists on a tour through the studios where they collected mixed media items they used for a collage project. It was a great day of art and we thank them for coming!

We are now getting ready for fall events and programs. Coming at the end of September is Alberta Culture Days. One of the major events will be the Downtown Roving Reception.  The Hive will show a special exhibition titled 20/14 featuring 20 artists’ work all under 14 inches. In October we will begin our fall program of art classes. More information will be posted here on the website very soon!

If you should have any questions about the Hive, please contact info@hivehub.ca or call 403-504-5371.
